Too bad they didn't include a Marvel comics character that was Captain America's partner during WW2: Prince Namor (aka "The Submariner") who can fly because he has tiny wings on his feet.

There's a classic comic book scene where Prince Namor is flying and lifting a tank and one character says, "Even given Namor's strength, how can those tiny wings on his feet lift that tank?" and another character replies, "Well, you know scientists have been saying for years that bees shouldn't be able to fly with such tiny wings..."

Everything I ever needed to know about science I learned from comic books.

I used to collect Submariner comics when I was 9. They cost 15 cents a copy. But if I had 15 cents I would usually spend it on a Hostess fruit pie.
